It was gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan might no longer be directly involved in negotiation with the lecturers because he is angry with ASUU leaders for three reasons, namely their contempt for the office of the President, their decision to issue new conditions and their alleged backing by some external forces.
Investigation revealed that after spending almost a week in Abuja for the resumption of talks, the ASUU

FAMILY GUY Fans React To The Death of a Character

The latest episode of Family Guy left a huge number of fans disappointed with the way things out for the shows talking dog, Brian Griffin, who was killed after being hit by a car and it seems those fans are not willing to calm down and see things the way of the studio as a petition is being signed to get Fox to go back on that decision.

So far over 14,000 fans had hit up Change.org petition on Monday to sign a petition to resurrect Brian (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) after Sunday's episode "Life of Brian," and the desire to get him back on the show doesn't seem to be subsiding as a Facebook page dedicated to Brian is also gathering attention from fans.

Nigeria Ranks Second in Most Google Searches for Gay Porn

I personally find this shocking considering our cultural and religious stand again homosexuality. Oh well... What can I say?
According to Google Trends, the world's most intolerant anti-gay nations also record the highest volume of gay porn searches. The unexpected trend was first observed and reported by Mother Jones .
Kenya, where vigilantes routinely torture and kill gay activists, ranks No. 1 globally in searches for "gay sex pics" and "anal sex pics." Nigeria and Pakistan rank in the top five for those searches, and Pakistan ranks first for the terms "man fucking man," "teen anal sex" and "shemale sex."

But, according to a recent Pew Research Center poll on LGBT acceptance, Nigeria and Pakistan are two of the world's most brutally LGBT intolerant societies. And Kenya recently passed a law criminalizing homosexuality as well as gay rights. Only 1 percent of Kenyans said homosexuality should be tolerated.
In Pakistan, where homosexual behavior is criminal, only 2 percent of the population believes in tolerance for LGBT people. Open discussion of homosexuality in the Muslim nation is virtually forbidden.
Mother Jones asked Farahnaz Ispahani, an expert in Pakistani minorities at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and a former member of Pakistan's parliament, about the discrepancy between Pakistan's anti-gay attitudes and their behavior.

Discerning the Difference Between Metrosexuals and Homosexuals by Emmy Collins

This post was written, edited and ready to be posted last week but then the little naughty girl decided to run amok on twitter slandering my name. As a result of her childish banters and kindergarten squabbles, I decided to pull it down as I didn`t want to be seen to be responding to an individual who was so childish that she posted her sister`s shopping receipts on the internet. I couldn`t help but wonder what she was hoping to achieve by that act of mgbeke-ism. If this girl were to be my sister,I would have shut her down immediately and then demanded for a DNA test to ascertain that she is indeed my biological sister but hey, that is me. Anyway, my decision not to post this article had to be rescinded after reading a tweet from some idiot who alleged that Inyanya could be gay. It then occurred to me that I couldn`t afford to let little people with little myopic minds prevent me from posting articles as I wish on this blog because if I let that occur then that means they have achieved their original purpose.

I must say Inyaya`s response of "your father gay" was hilarious. Kai, we brew drama in Nigeria, don`t we? It is my utmost belief that if drama were to be some form of natural resources, Nigeria would rank amongst the top 5 exporters in the world.

Anyway, please find below the article as was originally written.

APC Rejects INEC's Supplementary Election In Anambra

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected in its totality the announcement on Friday by INEC to hold supplementary election in Anambra State on November 30th, 2013.

It expressed absolute shock and incredulity that INEC could even talk of organizing a supplementary election, despite the weight of credible evidence presented by the party as well as election monitors and observers that what transpired on November 16th was nothing but a sham.

"We will not be a party to what is obviously a travesty of election by a self-discredited and conniving electoral umpire."

Guinness Records N1.7 Billion Profit in First Quarter

Guinness Nigeria Plc, one of the leading breweries, has announced a profit after tax (PAT) of N1.743 billion for the first quarter ended September 30, 2013, showing a marginal decline of 3.5 per cent compared with N1.807 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2012.

Considering the performance of the company for the full year ended June 30, 2013, where Guinness recorded a decline of 17 per cent in PAT, the Q1 results have been seen as an improvement.
Guinness reported revenue of N22.409 billion in Q1 of 2013, showing a decline of 5.4 per cent from the N23.692 billion in Q1 of 2012. Profit before tax fell by 20 per cent from N2.657 billion in 2012 to N1.868 billion in 2013. However, a 85 per cent reduction in tax payment, from N850 million to N125 million, improved the bottom-line of the company.

ASUU Set to Suspend Nationwide Strike

Academic activities may pick up next week in the nation's public universities as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) would this weekend hold its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting to take a position on the on-going five- month-old strike.

The industrial action, which enters 144 days today, took off on July 1, 2013 and has crippled academic activities in federal and state universities.
Ahead of the NEC meeting, some members of ASUU in two universities, Enugu State University (ESUT) and University of Agricultural Abeokuta (UNAAB) had announced that their institutions would open for academic activities.

Asam, who spoke against the backdrop of consular challenges faced by the embassy, disclosed this in an interview in Berlin.
Investigations reveal that the crime had decline in Western Europe following strict laws on illegal migration, and joint efforts by Nigeria and the governments of those countries to curb the menace.

Microsoft's Xbox One hits Store Shelves

Pre-Christmas launch comes a week after Sony 4.
Microsoft says it had more than double the number of pre-orders for its $500 Xbox One, released today, than it had for the Xbox 360 in November 2005.
Microsoft's new Xbox One console went on sale today, one week after the release of the rival PlayStation 4.
Microsoft says the supply of the new $499 consoles is its biggest ever. But with record pre-orders — more than double those of the Xbox 360 back in November 2005 — the consoles may be hard to find.
"We expect the demand to be really high through the holiday (season)," said Craig Flannagan, director of marketing Xbox for Microsoft Canada.

Tinted Car Offenders To Be Jailed

The Senate yesterday passed a Bill for an Act to amend the Motor Vehicle Prohibition of Tinted Glass Act 2011.

The Bill aims at checking indiscriminate use of tinted vehicle glasses by motorists. It proposes N50,000 fine or six months' imprisonment for anyone driving a tinted-glass vehicle without due approval from appropriate authority. The Senate adopted the report of its Joint Committee on Police Affairs and Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters on the Bill.

Committee Chairman Paulinus Nwagu said the Bill "seeks essentially to amend the extant law in order to check indiscriminate use of tinted glass vehicles which beat security checks and carry out nefarious activities". Nwagu noted that the bill was sponsored following the spate of reactions from Nigerians on the recent announcement by the Nigerian Police of its intention to arrest and prosecute those driving cars with tinted glass.

"I posed as Janet on the Facebook, using a white woman's photograph. I told the couple that I was an estate manager and convinced them to buy property in Lagos. Since they have not been to Nigeria, they asked us to meet elsewhere and when I stumbled on a business conference that was holding in Malasia, I booked the meeting.
"On reaching Malaysia, I told a Facebook lady friend to pose as Janet after telling her what to say. That was how the deal was struck and they paid the dollar equivalent of N3.4 million into my account.
"I intended to use the money to further my studies because I am determined to be a graduate. I used part of the money to travel again to Malaysia for leisure in August."

More Rehab: Chris Brown Throws Rock At Mom’s Car

It has been reported by AP that a  judge has ordered Chris Brown on Wednesday to spend three months in rehab after reading a report that said a facility discharged the R&B singer because he threw a rock through his mother's car window.
Superior Court Judge James Brandlin also added additional rules for Brown in the coming months, requiring him to perform at least 24 hours of community labor a week and to submit to drug testing as he deals with anger management issues.
Brown and his attorney agreed to the terms, which were suggested by probation officials who are overseeing Brown's sentence for his 2009 beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna.
The Grammy winner threw a rock through his mother's car window Nov. 10 after a joint counseling session in which she suggested the singer remain in treatment, according to a letter submitted by the rehab facility. The facility's name was not included in court filings.

Justin Bieber Makes Party Guests Sign $3 Million Confidentiality Agreement

If Davido and the likes think they are throwing parties and frenzy activities they should take a step backwards and bow to "Gatsby" Justin Bieber. Justin threw a party on Friday (Nov. 15) and he made all his guests sign a confidentiality agreement. In a formal contract obtained by TMZ, everyone in attendance "agreed not to tweet, text, phone, Facebook, record, write or in any other manner spill the beans on what went on inside" at risk of paying the petit Canadian $3 million — "no trial, no arguing, just pay up."

If that doesn't sound fun enough, TMZ also reported that "sheriff's deputies" (not cops, sheriff's deputies) were called three times and one of Bieber's neighbors said the authorities smelled marijuana.

That's all crazy stuff, but the most important part of this story is that it all took place at what TMZ called a "Gatsby party." And it is legitimately unclear whether that is some metaphorical way of saying it was a very big party or that Justin Bieber actually threw a themed gathering, inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's American classic set in the 1920s.
