Realization by Ridwan Adeniyi (@ridwanadeniyi)

How do you define success? People ask me, why do you always begin your write ups with questions? I think it's because generally, people like to be interrogated and questions kinda stares up curiosity "is she pregnant?", "is Cory dead?" so we want to know if Cory is really alive or how he died, the cause, any foul play? Curiosity

Do you feel happy when you succeed? What defines a successful person? Good grades, promotion at work, achievements? What is it exactly? To a great extent, failure has something to do with success as success plays a big role in happiness.

Success in fact, according to Wikipedia may refer to a level of social status, achievement of a goal/objective or simply the opposite of failure. For most people today, happiness comes as a result of succeeding in one thing or the other which means failure is no option and happiness is absent with the presence of failure. This thing makes me really sad when I meet people who think like this, at this point, you probably thinking "this dude is crazy" because our society has been built in such a way that happiness has a direct correlation with success (sports, politics education) and here I am telling you that happiness doesn't have to come from success alone (insane right?). Aren't there happy people out there with bad grades, no job and living in poverty? Or are all poor people unhappy? So every rich person happy huh?!

"No one society in the world celebrates failure"

I randomly tweeted "How do you define success?" and I got replies as:
@pharouk_abdul said "Being able to do what you love and getting paid well and also, a happy family.

@Chibby_kay stated simply "using myself"

Pharouk's idea of success entails elements such as material gain coming from job satisfaction and following societal trend (happy family), this guy has obviously seen too much reality TV shows (Kourtney and Kim Takes Miami) while Chibby's idea centers on himself as what success should be so whatever he ends up as, the dude will still be happy. I see Pharouk struggling to make ends meet while Chibby does his own things the way he knows how.

If you have gotten this far then you should be thinking about those things that really makes you happy, vise a vise success. What makes you happy deep within for I strongly believe that happiness is ultimate and should never be compromised, the backbone and key to overall success after finding inner peace deep within you.

"Everything happens for a reason, reasons we might never understand"The world is inter connected, cause and effect, your failure in Nigeria is someone's success in China, nothing happens just like that, there is a reason behind everything. So let's make our mistakes now and fail to succeed latter.
