Oyedepo opens 20,000-seater church in Nairobi, Biggest in East and Central Africa

BISHOP Dr David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide Inc. on Saturday opened a 20,000-seater church in Nairobi, said to the biggest sanctuary in East and Central Africa.

The ceremony, which was also attended by the newly-elected deputy president of Kenya, Hon. William Ruto and his wife, Rachel, was graced by thousands of believers from different parts of the world.

Bishop Odeyepo dedicated the sanctuary, accompanied by many local and international church leaders, as he predicted that great things would happen in Africa and in Kenya in the coming days.
On his part, the Kenyan deputy president said the dedication was a great thing and was God's doing.
Living Faith Church Worldwide Inc. a.k.a Winners Chapel International has a network of vibrant full gospel charismatic churches worldwide.
The Ministry's headquarters is in Canaan-land, Lagos, where we find the Faith Tabernacle - a 50-000-seater church -the largest church auditorium in the world.

A press release from the church noted that in 1994, God spoke to Bishop Oyedepo  saying, "The harvest of Africa is over-ripe, rush in and preserve it from decadence" and it was in pursuit of the AGIP (Africa Gospel Invasion Project) which was to undertake the preservation of the harvest from decadence, that the first missionaries arrived in Kenya in the year 1995.
