Big Brother Africa made it clear that the housemates needed to identify their 'selling points' as it kicked off with live performances from some members of the Mavin Crew with songs like Goody bag by D'Prince and the first ever stage performance of The Kick by ace producer Don Jazzy and crooner, Wande Coal.

The 8th season of the showed dubbed 'The Chase' was launched on the 26th of May 2013, in South Africa and was graced with several entertainers from across the continent. Besides the members of the Mavin family there were performances from Kenya's STL, South Africa's Mafikozolo and stand-up comedy from Tumi and Churchill.
The 28 housemates from across Africa were beautiful and glamorous while the watching crowd was whipped into a frenzy.
The Mavin crew wowed both fans present and those viewing in millions of African homes with their stellar performances.

First up on stage was D'Prince with his rendition of Goody Bag, rounding up with an amazing exit, giving out bags filled with goodies to the audience, eliciting an uproar.
