Court Dismisses Jennifer Lopez’s $20Million Lawsuit Against Driver

Jennifer Lopez's $20 million lawsuit against her former limo driver, Hakob Manoukian, was thrown out of Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday like an old bag of potatoes.


Manoukian sued J.Lo in April for breach of contract and then allegedly blackmailed her to the tune of $2.8 million, spurring the $20 million countersuit. However, this was dismissed as a "strategic lawsuit against public participation" — or to put it another way, J.Lo's blackmail charge was perceived as a transparent tactic to keep the driver busy defending himself instead of pursuing his original case.
