Upcoming Actors/Actresses Now Pay To Feature In Nollywood Movies

I know it sounds unbelievable, but it's fact! A-list Nollywood actors & actresses get paid for featuring in movies, but if you're an unknown actor struggling to get into the movie industry, some movie producers make you pay to feature in their movies.

That's the new trend now. I'm sure some Nollywood practitioners will come here to deny this but y'all know it's true. And if you don't know this already, you guys need to start investigating this.

If you're looking to feature in a movie, all you need to do is pay a fee, no audition is required. For minor roles, these producers demand anything from N50k to N100k...it all depends on the role they are giving you. If you want to play a lead role it's between N500k to N1million. Waka pass people are even made to pay.

United States Confirms Shekau’s Death

Contrary to the claim by the sect members, the United States of America, on Saturday, confirmed that the leader of the dreaded Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, is, indeed, dead.

The Council on Foreign Relations, a top US security think-tank and government advisory, made this confirmation after a thorough investigation. It said it is apparent that the latest video appearance of Shekau was faked.

"In this latest 33 second video, Shekau was even further from the camera and only appeared to speak for just 10 seconds. The latest video, released on Youtube, is perhaps the biggest sham in the history of terrorism media: Latest 10 Second Sham Video of Blurry Ghost of Late Shekau," the US security think-tank observed.

Miley Cyrus Takes a Naked Shower Selfie While Preparing for MTV EMAs

Miley Cyrus is getting ready for the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) stage in Amsterdam, but first things first! The selfie-happy star decided to share her EMA prep with her more than 15 million Twitter followers.

"I got that shower time showerrrrr time selfiiiie. (A la lana del ray) #happyemas," she captioned the sultry pic.

Though she's known at this point for baring literally all (see: her "Wrecking Ball" video and shocking Terry Richardson photo shoot), Cyrus, 20, kept her shower scene pretty tame, only showing off her bare shoulders and chain necklaces. To clean up, Cyrus wore her hair in buns similar to the style she sported during her now-infamous 2013 VMA performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center back in August.

Robin Thicke Vows Not To Perform With Miley Cyrus Again

He told MTV news: 'I'm sure it will be very safe and inoffensive.'

Thicke raised eyebrows when he performed with Miley at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year.

Robin has since insisted that he wouldn't be performing with Miley again.

Asked by Alan Carr on his Chatty Man show on Friday if he would collaborate with her again, Thicke replied: 'Oh no, no no no. No no, definitely no, definitely not."

NFF Top Shots Fight In Abu Dhabi... Kai!

Despite the triumph of the Golden Eaglets Friday in Abu Dhabi it was a show of shame and national disgrace as NFF General secretary Barrister Musa and the Federations First Vice President Chief Mike Umeh exchanged blows in public, right inside the stadium.

Eye witness account has it that problem started brewing early evening when Chief Umeh wondered why members of the League Management Committee were allocated " better cars" than NFF chieftains. He then and there told a colleague that Musa was incompetent and not fit to handle NFF matters.

On getting to the stadium, Chief Umeh was given a Category 1 ticket and again he complained insisting that every country was given 20 VIP tickets and wondered why he could not have one as NFF Vice President.
At the stadium Chief Umeh boiled over when he saw members of the LMC in the VIP Box and challenged the GS who said he knew nothing about it "Oga two of us are seating here, I don't know anything about tickets besides I just arrived yesterday " the General Secretary replied. He was shocked when Chief Umeh said "you are a useless man .

The truth is that we have more Learners than Professionals hence why most women never get satisfied sexually. Hopefully that should change, with this awesome info from MensHealth, that reveals the areas of concentration that should be touched during sex.

Twitter Owing Justin Bieber $20.9M, Katy Perry $4.4M

Twitter (TWTR) finished its first day as a publicly traded company on Thursday with a closing price of $44.90, down from an opening trade of $45.10 but up a cool 73% from its IPO price of $26.

The offering made Twitter's founders and leaders rich. Very rich. Now, if you're one of the company's 230 million users, you helped out, right? So what's your share of the riches? There's an app for that. A nifty tool created by Time allows you to plug in any Twitter username to discover exactly how valuable your Twitter Feed is to the company.

According to Time, Justin Bieber tops the list of most valuable tweeters, and is owed some $20.9 million for his prolific work on the site. How about one of the men who helped ring the opening bell for Twitter, beloved actor Patrick Stewart? Time's calculator has him owed $13,631, based on his nearly 730,000 followers and Tweet rate of 0.6 tweets per day. Pop singer Katy Perry, who averages three tweets per day and has nearly 47 million followers, looks to be owed about $4.4 million.

The Police and the danger ahead by Olusegun Adeniyi

Whatever anybody may feel about the G-7 governors and their politics, nothing can justify a situation in which policemen would behave almost like licenced thugs by storming into a government house to ask the chief executives of states to put an end to a lawful assembly.

While still in the United Kingdom on his self-imposed exile circa 2009, former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai needed to revalidate his Nigerian passport. Quite naturally, he approached the Nigerian embassy in London whose officials decided to notify Abuja of the development. As it would happen, some people decided that since el-Rufai had made himself an enemy of the government of the day at the time, he should be denied his rights under the law even while hiding under some subterfuge. But it was not until the former minister went public about his ordeal that the late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua got to know what happened and he felt really angry. Of course, Mallam el-Rufai has a different narrative of the issue but the fact of the matter is that the late Yar'Adua had nothing to do with an action that could only have brought his government into ridicule as it sure did.

The war against the Boko Haram menace is far from being over as President Goodluck Jonathan has sought the consent of the National Assembly for an extension of the state of emergency proclaimed in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states.

The fresh request for a six-month extension was contained in a letter written by the president, dated November 5, 2013 and addressed to the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark.

The president, with the approval of the legislature, had, last May, proclaimed a partial state of emergency in the affected states to combat insurgency of the sect.

Man Recounts Ordeal of How He Was Raped by a Woman

I'm not your usual victim, nor was my attacker your usual rapist.  I'm one of the 9% of people who get raped who are male.  And one of the 1% who was raped by a woman.
I was in my early 20s, and talking online to a woman on the internet.  We kind of hit it off. I decided to do cross country vacation, and she suggested I stop by, spend a few days to a week at her school, that I could 'crash' in her apartment before resuming my trip.
That sounded ok, so when the time came, I packed up and started my road trip.  In time, I was near her town, so I drove on in, gave her a phone call to get directions on just where in town her apartment was, and drove on over.  She met me at the door, we hugged, and I gave her a little gift I'd brought along as a thank you for the invitation.  We went inside, I put my bag down, she broke out some wine, and we talked for a while.

Mark Calls For Win-win Resolution Of ASUU Strike

Parties in the ongoing strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been urged to approach reconciliatory efforts with open mind to ensure that a win-win situation was reached.

Senate President David Mark made this call in Abuja on Monday at a preparatory forum for a scheduled meeting between ASUU and Presidency aimed at resolving the strike.

Mark stressed that the strike called for urgent resolution to enable students to return to schools.

``As you are aware, I have been mandated by the Senate to meet with you and the Federal Government to resolve this crisis as soon as possible.

``I believe that is what you also want. I sympathise with your cause and believe that whatever can be done for you to go back to your work should be done immediately.

``At the end of the day, it is not how long we drag this matter that is important but how soon we sorted it out.

``The national interest is what is at stake because our students have been out of classrooms for four months now", Mark said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mark's delegation and ASUU representatives later left for the Presidential Villa for the meeting between ASUU and President Goodluck Jonathan.

President of ASUU, Dr Nasir Fagge expressed optimistic that the mediatory efforts by the Senate President would yield positive results.

The Senate, last week, mandated Mark to mediate in the lingering dispute between ASUU and the Federal Government over the agreement entered into by the two parties in 2009.

Fagge said ASUU was convinced that Mark's mediation would create the necessary platform for the amicable resolution of the crisis.

``We are convinced that whatever we come up with will go a long way towards addressing the problem. We really appreciate your intervention.

``At every opportunity we have to dialogue with people, we have to come with open mind so that we can make the most out of that intervention.

``We are convinced that your intervention will go a long way towards addressing the problem in the universities", Fagge said.

He said it was unfortunate that Nigerian students were migrating to neighbouring West African countries for university education.

``We are also parents and also among us we have students who are pursuing post graduate degrees. So, this strike directly affects us negatively.

``But Sir, it's one of the sacrifices we really have to make to ensure that we do what is right with our universities'', he stressed.

‘Vampire Diaries’: Michael Trevino (Tyler) Confirms ‘The Originals’ Crossover

Fans of The Vampire Diaries may be mourning the official break-up of Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola) in the Oct. 31 episode. Trevino confirms to EW what most viewers have guessed: Tyler will be the first TVD character to visit the show's New Orleans-set spinoff, The Originals. While The CW won't confirm when  – "sometime soon," Trevino says coyly — or for how long, we do have an idea of why: As Tyler told Caroline, he can't be at college when all he can focus on is his desire to make Klaus (Joseph Morgan) pay for killing his mother. Caroline begged him to love her more than he hates Klaus, but Tyler said he couldn't and walked out. "It was actually really tough on both of us," Trevino tells EW of shooting the teary-eyed goodbye. "In these scenes where Caroline and Tyler are going their separate ways, it's usually that one of us is emotional and one isn't. On this one, both of us were emotional. There were a few more takes than how it regularly goes between Candice and I."

VHC Styling Presents its SS 2014 LookBook 'The Rebel'

This collection is from the LookBook of Richard Akuson. He is a 19 year old, CEO of VHC styling-a modern fashion styling outfit based in Abuja. In existence for about a year now, VHC Styling has worked with runway shows, magazine editorials and Designer look-books in Abuja.

With personal & professional ties with the likes of one of Africa's most exclusive and elite luxury designer Ade Bakare, Richard Akuson seems to be warming his way to the hearts of Nigeria's fashion elites.

His S/S 2014 Look-book tells the story of the urban man who defies fashion myths, exploring elements of feminine fashion and ultimately maintaining his masculinity. The looks span through some female persona-all carrying a special, extra little something. He went with a kind of gothic tale theme for this collection-think black nail polish, smoky eyes, geometric prints, female cuts and statement necklaces. These decorate  silhouettes: from short shorts to dresses. See what he has to say and photos after the cut...

An official of the Vice President's office who pleaded anonymity said that all hands are now on deck to ensure that the universities resume next week.
