With personal & professional ties with the likes of one of Africa's most exclusive and elite luxury designer Ade Bakare, Richard Akuson seems to be warming his way to the hearts of Nigeria's fashion elites.
His S/S 2014 Look-book tells the story of the urban man who defies fashion myths, exploring elements of feminine fashion and ultimately maintaining his masculinity. The looks span through some female persona-all carrying a special, extra little something. He went with a kind of gothic tale theme for this collection-think black nail polish, smoky eyes, geometric prints, female cuts and statement necklaces. These decorate silhouettes: from short shorts to dresses. See what he has to say and photos after the cut...
In his words:
"I chose to style men for my S/S 2014 look because I felt the need to bring a fresh perspective to men's style in Nigeria and the inspiration happened to come from female fashion. This look-book speaks for the typical dare devil males in the Nigerian Fashion scene."
To achieve this, Richard Akuson teamed up with some of Nigeria's best fashion creatives, model managements and retailers to beautifully present us with this portfolio lookbook.
