Ghana drew European champions Spain, France and USA in the 'Group of Death' of the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup this June.
The Black Satellites were placed in Group A alongside the stellar nations when the draw for the continent's qualifiers took place after the African Youth Championship final in Oran, Algeria on Saturday.
But the 2009 World champions are capable of advancing from the pool with the country's history of producing talented youthful players.
Ghana won silver after losing 5-4 on penalties to Egypt after a 1-1 extra-time scoreline.
Champions Egypt automatically went into Group E where they will face relatively easier opponents Chile, England and Iraq.
Nigeria's Flying Eagles had a plum draw after with Cuba, Korea and Portugal as opponents in Group B.
Fourth place Mali will play in Group D alongside Mexico, Greece and Paraguay.
The tournament will be played from 21 June to 13 July in seven major cities.
