Also, children and family content will air under the Nickelodeon banner seven days a week.

As part of the MoU, the Nigerian station will also benefit from skills training and workshops in TV production provided by VIMN for its member stations and personnel, to support the development of local production expertise.

Some of the programming included are local and international music, lifestyle, reality, chat and animation series, such as MTV Base VJ Search – Nigeria followed by the Official Naija Top 10, Big Base Beats, The Big Friday Show, Cribs, Run's House and Pimp My Ride.

Dora the Explorer, The Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and SpongeBob SquarePants are also part of the package.

A statement credited to Alex Okosi, SVP and managing director, VIMN Africa states: "We are delighted that our partnership with NTA will expand the footprint of our content in Nigeria, bringing new viewers in touch with the VIMN portfolio.
