Guardiola To Take Over At Manchester City Next Season

Former Coach of Barcelona, Pep Guardiola, may replace Roberto Mancini as Manchester City's manager in the summer.

The 41-year-old Spaniard, last week confirmed he was ready to return to football, after stepping down last summer to go on a sabbatical.

"My decision has been taken to coach, but beyond that there is no decision taken,"he said. And when he was quizzed further on which club he is likely to join, he said: "It would be a lack of respect to other coaches to speak about any team that is being run by a coach anywhere in the world."

Guardiola is heading to the Etihad.

Guardiola, who Roman Abramovich has tried to lure to Stamford Bridge, will become the highest paid coach in England, earning £10 million pounds (12,085,500 euros, $16.1million US) a year after tax.
