Sir Elton John, 65, and his longtime partner David Furnish, 50, have added another member to their growing family. The couple announced this week that they’ve welcomed in a second child via a Los Angeles-based surrogate. His name is Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, and he was born on January 11 at 6:40 PM.
A little more than two years ago, John and Furnish had their first child, a son named Zachary. Having two children was always important to the pair because they were worried about the little guy feeling isolated and alone as the son of a famous person. Now, after more than twelve years together, they finally feel like their family is complete…
”Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.”
Once upon a time, John was one of the busiest men in show business, but with a regular schedule in Las Vegas now, he should be able to spend plenty of time focusing on the growing family.
