Patience Jonathan Makes First Public Appearance After Medical Trip

Dame Patience Jonathan on Thursday made her first public appearance since she returned to the country on Friday from a routine medical trip to Germany.
Patience joined her husband and top government officials to welcome the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Donald Tusk, and his wife, Malgorzata, at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tusk is on a two-day visit to the country.
The First Lady who looked radiant throughout the brief ceremony was dressed in a yellow, purple and brown boubou with a purple head tie to match.
After the inspection of the guard of honour mounted by men of the Presidential Guards Brigade by the Polish Prime Minister, the two leaders along with their spouses retired into the President's office.

About 30 minutes later, Mrs. Jonathan came out with her Polish counterpart.
After seeing the guest off to her car, Patience returned into the President's office from where she left for her residence.
While returning to the office, Mrs. Jonathan acknowledged greetings from journalists by waving at them and with a radiant smile,.
It would be recalled that since she returned to the country on Friday, Mrs. Jonathan has not been sighted in public even as speculations again mounted as to her state of health as she missed the third Presidential Breakfast Prayer at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa on Saturday.
