The grand finale of the 64th edition of Miss world competition 
has come to an end. Miss South Africa, Rolene Strauss has emerged the 
winner of the Miss World 2014 competition with Miss Hungary Edina 
Kulcsar and Miss USA Elizabeth Safrit coming second and third place 
respectively.


Miss Thailand also won the people’s choice award and for the very first time since inception, five contestants were announced as the winner of “Beauty with a purpose” competition and they are from India, Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia and Guyana.

In attendance were past beauty queens such as Miss World 1994 winner Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Miss World 2001 winner Agbani Darego and Miss World 2013 winner Megan Young.
