Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Gets Caught In The Russian Political Scene

Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke may rule over the 7 kingdoms one day, but there's another kingdom she may have to deal with first: Russia.
You know, that icy land beyond the Berlin Wall?

Promotional ads used to back the Russian mayoral candidate for Yekaterinburg (not exactly the greatest city that ever was or ever will be) mistakenly used Khaleesi's picture WITHOUT PERMISSION!
On top of that, they claimed the 26-year old actress was actually a girl named Anya, and that she had this to say on behalf of the Putin-backed candidate:

"I suddenly noticed that for the last couple of years I'm not afraid to walk at night in Yekaterinburg. I now have confidence that the city is safe, that no-one will attack me or rape me. It's so cool…There are only few people on the streets, the streets have lights, the city is fresh and incredibly beautiful. Especially after it has been raining."

Oh, she's "not afraid to walk at
night"? Maybe that's because she's surrounded by 8,000 Unsullied killing machines!

Oh, the "streets have lights"? Maybe that's because her dragons' breath has scorched the land from there to Westeros!

Oh, it's "beautiful" after a "rain"? The city of Yekaterinburg will not be so beautiful after it has been rained with fire from Daenerys' three winged babies!

Alright, we're done. But by the old and the new, you should definitely ask permission before insisting that the Mother of Dragons somehow backs your candidate.

Here's what the authors of the ads had to say for themselves:

'We selected a famous and beautiful actress on purpose, to make it clear that this is a fantasy. Next time we will write more clearly. Sorry. Our internet post which was a fantasy with a photo of Emilia Clarke, famous for the TV series Game of Thrones, has caused a strange resonance. We assure you, Daenerys Targaryen, in this case is just a beautiful woman. We don't claim that we have her support, even though we would not be ashamed to show her Yekaterinburg after implementation of the 'Capital' programme (sic)."

Whoa, Daenerys Targaryen is not just a "beautiful woman." She's a beautiful woman, AND Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, and Mhysa.

Red Russia would definitely suffer a fate worse than the Red Wedding were Daenerys actually a real person, you know, not like Anya!
