David Villa Released From Hospital

Barcelona striker David Villa has been discharged from hospital a day after he was re-admitted because of kidney stones.

The 31-year-old went into hospital for the first time to have the stones removed on Monday and was released a day later, only to return on Thursday to be kept under observation.

The club confirmed in a statement on their official website on Friday morning that the Spain international had now left hospital.

He remains out of Saturday's Primera Division game against Granada.
